Daniella Rifkind, Zahava Fertig and Estee Brooks shared their knowledge and passion for Torah through enlightening lectures and engaging discussions, enriching the Shabbat experience for members.

“The GPATS Shabbaton was so nice,” remarked Chavi Penzias, a member of the shul. “It’s always inspiring, filled with Torah wisdom. I look forward to it every year.”

The women of Anshe Chesed were particularly delighted to participate in a Friday night oneg featuring a shiur by Rifkind. “It was an incredible experience sharing Torah with such a warm and welcoming community,” shared Rifkind. “GPATS has given me tremendous opportunities to learn and share my knowledge, and this shabbaton in Linden was a true highlight.”

Fertig, who had previously visited the shul, echoed Rifkind’s sentiment. “It was an honor to share Torah with Anshe Chesed again,” she said. “Their enthusiasm and engagement were truly inspiring.” Fertig gave a Shabbat drasha for the entire community following Shabbat morning Shacharit. Brooks, another participant of the GPATS Shabbaton, gave a shiur following Shabbat Mincha.

Dr. Nechama Price, Director of GPATS, expressed her gratitude to the community for hosting the shabbaton. “These shabbatons are invaluable for our students,” she explained. “They allow them to share their knowledge and connect with communities like Anshe Chesed, while showcasing the dedication and love for Torah that defines GPATS.”

The successful GPATS Shabbaton in Linden served as a beautiful example of the impact these programs can have on both the students and the communities they visit. The shabbaton fostered learning, connection and mutual inspiration, leaving a lasting impact on all involved.

If a shul would like to partner with GPATS and host a Shabbaton, they can reach out to gpatsplacement@gmail.com. Anshe Chesed thanked GPATS and the Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest for partnering with the congregation to make this wonderful Shabbat happen.
