Dear Anshe Chesed

Since 2004, the educational and holiday programs for our synagogue have been funded through the Gertrude Weil Institute of Jewish Learning.  As we kick-off this year's campaign, we ask that you partner with us in all the upcoming programming we have planned.

At our core, Anshe Chesed stands on three pillars: Prayer, Community and Torah Study.

Prayer -We come together to daven to Hashem daily. We were honored to host Rabbi Menachem Penner, who shared insights from his upcoming book on enhancing our connection to Hashem through Tefilah.

Community- Our community unites in joy and sorrow, sharing milestones, Simchas, and supporting each other in times of need. We also come together in our care for Am Yisroel. This year Through the drashot, shiurim, and acts of chesed this year we demonstrated our love and support for our homeland and its defenders

Torah- Over the past year, we've held weekly breakfast and lunch shiurim, and hosted three wonderful Shabbatons with guests from Gpats, Israel and Rabbi Penner of the RCA. We've continued our popular monthly speaker series. Rebbetzin Katz provided special Shabbat afternoon and pre-holiday shiurim for women. Additionally, we facilitated weekly learning sessions for both women and men, along with mini-series by community members.

Looking back, we hope that everyone has a sense of pride and accomplishment for the hours of Torah that we collectively studied and we hope that our communal learning has inspired personal learning!

We are excited to plan our communal learning for the coming year.  We want to hear from you about any ideas you have to make this year as successful as possible.

All of this learning and programming can only be accomplished with your partnership. This includes committing to learning, attending classes, providing feedback, and encouraging your children and teens to attend the youth programming.

Secondly, your generous support is essential for us to continue growing and strengthening our array of shiurim and programs.

We are so grateful for all the support you have given to make Anshe Chesed the Makom Torah, the community of learning, it is today, and we hope you will continue to partner with us in growing and strengthening our community.

Wishing you an amazing year of Torah learning, spiritual growth, and community.

Thank you

Rabbi Yossi Katz
