One of the acronyms for the month of Elul is:

איש לרעהו ומתנות לאביונים

“Sending gifts to one another and presents to the poor” Esther 9:22

This quote from Megillat Esther reminds us that Elul is not only about doing Teshuva, returning to Hashem and atoning for our sins, rather it is also about turning to one another and strengthening our friendships and repairing our relationships.

Anshe Chesed Youth baked cookies and prepared packages for community members. Now the whole community is getting involved by delivering the packages to each other.
